BMW offers an extended wheelbase 7 Series, Audi offers an A8 L and even Volvo’s S90 comes in a stretched out “Excellence” version (for China only). Porsche, undoubtedly feeling left out of the chauffeur market, will now offer a Panamera variant for rear legroom lovers called the Executive version.
Porsche grabbed the already quite large Panamera around either end and pulled on it a bit. The result is a wheelbase extended by 5.9 inches. You can get an Executive Panamera 4, Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, Panamera 4S or Panamera Turbo. The Executive models are exclusively all-wheel-drive.
All Panamera Executives will have the option for a newly developed and enlarged rear center console and a big ass rear seat entertainment screen.
Also joining the Panamera family will be a new 330 horsepower V6 turbo engine, which Porsche will stick in the rear-driven new base Panamera and Panamera 4. That’s up 20 HP from the current base Panamera engine, if you were wondering.
It is the new V6 that will make it into the Panamera 4 Executive as well. Because the Executives have the same powertrains as their shorter-wheelbase versions, the 4 E-Hybrid Executive will have 462 HP, the 4S Executive 440 HP and the Turbo Executive gets 550 HP from its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8.
I’m sure that will all be very nice from the backseat.
