The Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 AMG Coupe isn’t a looker. Not only does it have more than two doors, it’s a GLE 63 with a wretched hunchback, evocative of such widely panned designs as the Pontiac Aztek and the Honda Crosstour. And lucky us, tuners DMC and Topcar teamed up to make it worse!
Behold the carbon fiber monstrosity that is the DMC Topcar GLE 63 AMG Inferno. We’re not sure if “Inferno” is meant to be a tough-sounding tuner-car name or a suggestion of where to drive it, but we’re going to have nightmares for days, regardless.
There’s so much going on in the front of this car. Are those Ted Cruz’s floppy jowls rendered in carbon fiber? Why does it have teeth where teeth shouldn’t be, at the bottom of the nose of the car? Some twisted form of car hyperdontia?
Topcar’s logo, prominently featured where Mercedes’ three-point star badge usually goes up front, is a shark. I’m assuming this is how this monstrosity got gills on the side.
Fortunately, they turned the madness down a notch when they reached the rear of the car, but it’s a GLE 63 AMG Coupe. Its rear end is already about as bad as it gets.
No cost was listed for the Inferno, which is being sold exclusively in Asia, however, I think early-onset blindness is a prerequisite to adding so many carbon fiber baubles of questionable functionality onto a car.
