More than anything else in the world, I hate not being able to feel the wind in my hair when I drive my Ferrari LaFerrari. Hate it! I wrote a bunch of angry letters to Maranello on my personal stationery, yelling about my displeasure. I pressed very hard into the paper to make a point.
Today, Ferrari granted my request and showed the world the 2017 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta that it made just for me.
Not the LaFerrari Spider, you fool. Aperta. Get with the program.
The car’s got the same hybrid power unit as its hardtop version with 949 horsepower. Per my instructions, Ferrari kept the top speed of the Aperta the same as the coupe and it will hit 62 mph from a stop in under three seconds. I was adamant that the drag coefficient, with the roof open and the side windows up, stayed the same.
I didn’t want too many people getting their hands on one of these, so I commanded that production be limited to 209 copies. They’ve all been sold out, so don’t even think about reaching for that checkbook. Maybe if you were a little earlier to the party I would have considered your measly offering of $2.1 million in earnest.
So you can’t have one. And neither can Preston Henn.
