The 2016 Cadillac CT6 is the big, rear-wheel drive Cadillac that Cadillac has been promising to make ever since it made the original CTS in 2002. And right now, I’m sitting in one.
I’ve had this particular CT6 with it’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder for a little less than a day now. That’s not nearly enough to give it a full review, but it might be enough to answer some questions about it. So I’m going to sit here in the car, hooked up to its 4G LTE WiFi system, and do my best.
Things I like
- It’s a big, rear-wheel drive Cadillac
- It’s long and low
- It’s got very smooth suspension
- It’s quiet
- The shifter feels a bit like the throttle on a boat
Things I Don’t Like As Much
- While Cadillac’s clearly come a long way, it doesn’t feel quite as nice as a comparable Volvo or Mercedes
- While 265-horsepower is plenty, it’s not as plenty as some rivals
- The side-view mirrors are tiny slits through which I peer out unto the world, and from which I pray that the blind-spot monitoring system will protect me

So what do you want to know about it? Or what don’t you want to know about it? Ask me about it, or ask me about whatever. I’m literally sitting here in a parked car.
