That Gorgeous And Ridiculous Jetta From The Fast And The Furious Is Up For Sale

That beautiful and delightfully obscene Volkswagen Jetta from the original The Fast and the Furious, the one driven by “Jesse,” the guy who promised “overnight parts from Japan,”the one signed by Paul Walker (RIP), which is currently owned by Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz, is now up for auction. Get your paddles ready.

Oddly enough, Muniz did not buy it from Johnny Tran, nor is it known if he obtained it in a race “for pinks” in what was presumably a Toyota Celica. But let’s just assume he did, as it just feels better when watching the original scene which made the car famous:

The 1995 Jetta, now known as “Lot #793,” comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder which looks like it has had many things done to it, though the auction house brokering the potential sale, Barrett-Jackson, doesn’t really specify what. Oddly enough, the car also comes with an automatic transmission, which makes you wonder what exactly the actors were doing when they were pretending to shift.

But still! It was signed by Paul Walker (RIP), Chad Lindberg (who played Jesse), and the film’s director Rob Cohen, so that has to count for something.

And if all that doesn’t put you in the buying mood, the car comes equipped with a Playstation 2. Yes, A PLAYSTATION TWO.

Estimated sale price: a million billion trillion thousand billion dollars. No reserve, though.
