If they were gonna go for the whole “Discount desirable design from an ironic source” angle, I could see a 780 Bertone being a much more fitting choice.

But then I’d feel bad associating the 780 with brand like AA.

Indeed the Volvo 780 Bertone was also a disappointment, a ripoff, and a setback for two proud companies.

And the 780 is also hopelessly cool in spite of everything.
