Every so often I wake up and remember that I once bought a Lexus for $600, fixed it up, then almost immediately destroyed it with 48 hours of rallycross.
It was an ultra-rare factory five speed with a not-so-factory shift knob. I didn’t go looking for it, it found me.
Here are the stories I wrote on the car (and one written by my coworker Freddy), organized chronologically from the start of its cheap, cheap life to its suffering end. The last one is probably the best. If you’re going to read one, read that one.

I am currently itching to buy another stupid, needless car. Then I reread these stories and the desire subsides.
