Any time I get to ride a 1960s-era Budd R32 subway car here in New York I am reminded that I get to use one of the modern world’s most antiquated transportation systems. What about what the shiny clean future-is-now that other people use?
I’ve heard many stories about the ultramodern cleanliness of Seoul or Tokyo, and I’ve used some very trick intermodal plane-to-train-to-subway-to-streetcar systems in Europe.
Sweden currently has a very cool delay prediction system I certainly would appreciate.
