Long before the Ford GT race car’s public debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ford kept busy doing shakedowns to develop the perfect tool for next year’s race. Here’s some of that blue-white-red action.
The Ford GT race car is just as big of a deal for Ford as the road going version, and the team certainly doesn’t waste any development time based on how the prototype made all the right noises at Canada’s Calabogie MotorSports Park just recently.
The GT will have to beat both the Ferraris and those mighty Corvettes at Le Mans next year, but if the car turns out to be anything as fast and reliable as how gorgeous it is, 2016 should be very interesting at Circuit de la Sarthe.
But what happens when you turbocharge a GT40? Ya know, just wondering.
Just in case.
