Here’s the new Ford GT on track and it sounds totally sick. I mean that both figuratively and literally.
Road & Track posted this video, sourced from AutoGuide. The track is Canada’s Calabogie MotorSports Park, about four hours from Multimatic, where this car is built.
What you’re hearing is the sound of some very serious turbocharging. This car runs a twin turbo V6, and it seems like there’s a lot of interesting boost controlling going on.
Well, it sounds like the engine is exploding, but that’s just how a really advanced turbo motor acts these days. Listen to any big turbo motor with a lot of anti lag and you’ll get the same noises.
So it might trick your ear into thinking it’s sick, but that’s raw power you’re hearing.
