Subaru is selling a car called the WRX STI NR4, and it’s a rally car you can order direct from them. Kind folks, Subaru. But they’re not the first to do this.
Various companies from Chevrolet to Porsche and more have offered race-spec vehicles direct from the factory (or dealers) for decades. These efforts have yielded some of the most exciting vehicles you’ll see on the track, or the street.
That’s our question of the day: What’s the best race car, old or new, that you can order from the manufacturer or a dealer?

Personally I think those old COPO Camaro ZL1s are pretty fantastic. They made for mighty track weapons in their day. What’s your pick?
