You’ve probably heard a lot about ‘understeer’ — when you turn the wheel and the car just plows forward. Here’s what it looks like.
This video popped up when the Swedish magazine Teknikens Värld did another round of their famous moose test. Of the three family cars tested, this Nissan Pulsar did the best. It outperformed the Ford Focus and the Seat Toledo.
While the other two cars slid at the rear end when Teknikens Värld put them to the limit of their tires in this little slalom, the Nissan slid at the front. It’s a fair example of what ‘terminal understeer’ looks like. You can see the car plowing in the lower side of the above gif, or in the video below.
