The final car in the criminally underrated Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift was the main character’s classic Mustang built with a modern Japanese turbo straight six. And that’s exactly what we have here, in the real world.

While the Tokyo Drift fastback had an RB26DETT out of a Skyline, this Gulf-colored notchback has a 2JZGTE out of a wrecked Toyota Aristo (that we got as the Lexus GS). Dig the engine cover.

This guy has the right idea.

Engine Swap Depot has some more information on this particular build, which used to have a 2.3 liter turbo four from Ford before picking up the straight six motor.
