Two years ago General Motors pulled off a huge surprise by unveiling the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 at the New York Auto Show. While we're on the eve of the debut of an all-new Camaro for 2016, we're going to have to wait longer than the New York show in April to see it.
Tonight GM launched a website for the 2016 Camaro, and the big news there is that the new car will debut at a special event on Saturday, May 16. That will happen at a special place for speed close to GM's home — Belle Isle Park, home of the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. If you want to go, RSVP here. It's free.
Other than that, no information on the new car, except for some audio clips of its engine. We'll have to wait until May to see what the final product looks like.
Unless it leaks out first, which it almost certainly will. Do you have pics or tips about the 2016 Camaro? Email us at tips@jalopnik.com.
