When you happen to have a truck with an LS6 and a jet boat that desperately needs an LS6, it's only natural to use the same engine in both, because Roadkill can pull that off.
This time around, the guys had a cool jet boat straight from 1976 lacking a V8, a burnout-happy truck with an engine full of sand and a lake that's only slightly toxic but still perfect for some fast boat racing.

So, why use the same engine in both machines? Because swapping a V8 twice in a parking lot soaked in rain can be fun if you are a crazy person, and these two certainly qualify. Top Gear challenges? Muhaha!
Then again, when carmakers talk about modular construction, this is almost what they are on about. I think.
I'm not into boats, but this Renegade rocks!
