Last night Nissan formally announced that they will compete in the World Endurance Championship with a front-engine, front-wheel drive racer that has 1,250 horsepower and looks like the love child of a GT-R and a Jag E-Type. It's the kind of trip to Crazytown that makes us love racing in the first place.
Nissan knows they're taking a huge risk with this car, but taking risks is what motorsports is all about. And it's certainly not the first race car to push things to seemingly unbelievable extremes.
