Last night Nissan formally announced that they will compete in the World Endurance Championship with a front-engine, front-wheel drive racer that has 1,250 horsepower and looks like the love child of a GT-R and a Jag E-Type. It's the kind of trip to Crazytown that makes us love racing in the first place.


Nissan knows they're taking a huge risk with this car, but taking risks is what motorsports is all about. And it's certainly not the first race car to push things to seemingly unbelievable extremes.


That's our question of the day: What car represents the biggest racing gamble of all time? Whether it was successful on the track or not, let's salute the cars that weren't afraid to get weird.
