These cars have promised much and have delivered squat.
10.) Prodrive P2
This car sounds like a bit of a dream –it was built by one of the most successful race manufactures ever, Prodrive, and designed by the legendary Peter Stevens. They trotted out their prototype on Top Gear and that's the last anyone has seen of the P2.

9.) Bahar Lotus Lineup
Remember that time Danny Bahar trotted out 5 new Lotus models at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and then they made none of them? Yeah, good times.

8.) Lightning GT
This car made its debut at the British International Motor Show back in 2008 and still is yet to go into production. Interestingly, this car was developed from the Ronart Lighting from 1999 of which only six were made.

7.) Cumberford Martinique
With a mahogany body, engine and front bumper from a BMW 6-series, and hydropneumatic suspension from a Citroën CX the Cumberford Martinqiue made it all the way to the cover of Car & Driver, but not into production. Ah, the '80s.

5,000 HP car built in Dubai that does 0-60 in 1.8 seconds and has a top speed of 348 mph? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

2.) Vector WX8
Vector is an automaker that has been borderline vaporware for its entire existence, but their latest WX-8 with approximately zero produced is true vaporware. At least the WX-8s website is great.

1.) Dale
The story of the Dale is one of the most incredible in automotive history. I'm not even going to attempt to do it justice so just read Jason's take on it and you'll know why it's number one.
