You know, you can watch Chris Harris driftfully weigh the merits of the Ferrari F40 against the F50 all day long, but those cars will always remain dream cars for most. The rest of us working schlubs are stuck driving old Jeep Cherokees and Subaru Outbacks. But those cars deserve great reviews too!
That's what Regular Car Reviews aims to do — give us great video reviews of the normal, everyday rides that most of us depend on. And by great, I mean hilarious, slightly insane, and also kind of true.
Their newest one is sure to ruffle a few feathers because it calls out the much beloved ZJ Jeep Grand Cherokee as an underpowered, unibody, AMC-designed workhorse that probably no one would have bought without its Jeep badge. The good news is you can do anything in it, like "take the ferry to Martha's Vineyard and get blasted on Landshark and wreck a 50cc Honda Ruckus." Sweet.
Then there's the hate-filled review of the 2002 Toyota Echo. There's not much to that car, and that's the point. You don't even get a tach, or really anything else. There's even some helpfully loathsome maintenance and cleaning tips. Fun!
And then there's his funny-but-probably-NSFW and oddly sexual review of the 2004 Volvo S60R, which has a ginormous turning radius but comes with its own phone. Because Volvo! It's amazing how many quirks can be written off Because Volvo.
This is awesome. I can't wait to see more. He has a few more videos on his channel, and you should check them out.
