I'm pretty sure that's true. As far as I know, no one has ever given a talk about a VW Brasilia in any Los Angeles-based museum. I'll be giving this first one ever at the Hammer Museum, on June 19. If you're around, come out to see it!
The talk is related to a new installation by Clarissa Tossin that incorporates an actual VW Brasilia — it's also the first car ever to be in an installation at the Hammer Museum. My talk will focus on the Brasilia, and why I think it's so deceptively fascinating.
I have no idea what kind of crowd this will gather, so it'd be nice to have some Jalops in the crowd, just in case the sophisticated museum crowd turns on me.
