The classic Toyota 2000GT might be valued at over a million dollars, but it really is priceless as an example of art and automotive history. Only 337 were ever produced, but now there's one less in the world thanks to a giant beech tree that came down and smushed it.

The nearly 100-foot tree was rotted and hollowed out inside, contributing to its collapse, according to a Google Translated version of the story from broadcaster NHK. The occupants of the 2000GT somehow escaped with only minor injuries to their limbs.

In a way, this pointless carnage hurts even more than the McLaren F1 that flipped over in Italy a little while ago. The McLaren can likely be repaired, but this Toyota is almost certainly a total loss.
