As a car enthusiast, I spend much of my free time day-dreaming and fantasizing about cars I'll probably never own, which naturally leads me to car configurators. There I can make wonderful creations like this, a tastefully designed $200k Porsche 911 Targa 4S. Most manufactures have them, but who has the greatest?
Porsche's is fairly wonderful for the myriad of ridiculous options you can add to your car which in this case jacked up the cost of my Targa 4S by nearly the value of a base Carrera. You want your gauges to be Guards Red and your seatbelts Yachting Blue? Porsche has you covered, but unfortunately you can't see your creation until it's in your driveway.
Their configurator is a bit of an endless wormhole with seemingly infinite possibilities for your car, and that's what keeps me coming back.
Plenty of other manufactures have good ones too, like Bugatti's which lets you create absurd two-tone Veryons that you probably will never get to own. Unfortunately, their's doesn't show the prices in a classic case of "if you have to ask, you can't afford it."
