The manual transmission is dead, they say. All the high-end overpowered cars are going to paddle-shift gearboxes, they say. It's the way of the future, they say. But some of us still prefer the old-school act of shifting gears with a stick and clutch, and a few heroic automakers are happy to oblige with a ton of power as well.
That's our question for the day: What's the most powerful new (or recent) car you can still get with a manual?
The suggestion comes to us from Opponaut Harrycarry250, who yesterday suggested the Cadillac CTS-V. With 556 horsepower from its supercharged V8, he's in the ballpark, although the 640 horsepower SRT, er, Dodge Viper has even more sauce on tap and no automatic or paddle-shift option.
Your turn. What newer-ish car has the most power and also a good old-fashioned stick?
