Yesterday I sort of accused the PR department of Rezvani, potential maker of re-bodied Ariel Atoms, of using a bunch of fake addresses to send me emails impairing us to write about their new car, the Beast. And they responded, surprisingly classily!
Here's what they had to say:
Hey Jason,
I read your article, and don't worry, we're not sending you spammy obnoxious emails telling you to write about us. Just the regular spammy obnoxious press releases. And it's FardeesRezvani, not Fardis Rezvani.
But anyways, thanks for the coverage. And as for getting you guys behind the wheel, right now Beast is a pre-production concept, meaning we don't have any running or driving vehicles at the moment. It will be a few months. Good news is we do have customers ready to order.
If you have any questions or need any more information please let me know, we'll make sure you guys are some of the first behind the wheel when it is available.
Thanks!
No, I'm still not totally sold that those emails we got were on the up-and-up — they still just sound too weird — but I'm willing to give these guys the benefit of the doubt. Well, at least enough benefit to hopefully actually get one of us behind the wheel of one of their cars, if/when they actually do ever get made.
We're researching some other aspects of the Rezvani story currently, but at least their PR guys can take a bit of ribbing, which is never a bad thing.
