First, let me make it clear that I have no beef with the man, the Duke of Edinburgh, or the car, the Ogle-designed Triplex Glass Company prototype that would eventually become the Reliant Scimitar GTE. But, oh, that picture. Oh man.
I'm sure we all go through this very brief stage of looking like Igor/Quasimodo when we exit cars, but that poor Duke was unfortunate enough to have the worst moment captured on film, and then have that picture be the first one to come up when anyone searches for Scimitar GTE prototypes.
Everything about his stance, his expression, the position of his hands makes you want to have him call you MASTER and send him out to the graveyard to have him dig you up some nice fresh brains.
Again, as funny/awkward as this picture may be, you have to hand it to the Duke for his taste in cars. He liked that prototype so much he used it as his personal car for two years, and when you look at it, you can see why.
I think that's probably worth one terrible photo.
