In the 1980s there was a sitcom called My Two Dads. It wasn't that awesome. In the 1980s a sports car called the Mazda Miata was created, and it had two dads: Tom Matano and Bob Hall. It was and still is awesome. And now both dads are here for the next hour to answer your questions.

For those of you who don't know, Tom Matano was the chief designer of the NA Mazda Miata. This is the man who made the car the way it is. He's done it all. This is who you need to thank for the pop up headlights.

Bob Hall was a member of the development team and the product planner for the original Miata, even though he had no formal engineering training. A sketch of a two seater got Mazda to hire him and he's now a legend in the Miata circle.

And now, as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the unofficial greatest car that has ever existed, you have the opportunity to ask its fathers everything and anything about the Mazda Miata. Tom and Bob will be here for the next hour. Start firing off those questions now!

I'll be typing for Bob and Tom, so the answers will be coming from an account called "MiataGuys." If there is a BH at the end, Bob Hall answered it, if there's a TM, Tom Matano did. If I leave off the initials, it was a collaborative answer. Or I just forgot. One of the two.
