This 2015 Mazda Miata Render Has To Be An April Fools' Joke

We're all still on heightened 2015 Mazda Miata watch because of this rumor the car would show up later this month at the New York Auto Show. But is this actually what the new roadster is going to look like?

Over at Carscoops, a render billed as an "official sketch of the next generation 2015 (or 2016MY) Mazda MX-5 Miata" was posted today. Looks good. Looks like a lot of recent Mazdas. A lot like a very recent Mazda render.

In fact, you know what this car really looks like? A headless Mazda Hazumi Concept.

That's no bad thing. Mazda's current design language makes pretty much all of their cars good looking. So if this is actually a new Miata render, I won't be disappointed.
