BMW hasn't confirmed the 2 Series Gran Coupe for production yet, but we here at Jalopnik are impatient and we want to see it now. Show us the best rendering of this car that you, dear reader, can come up with.
According to a post on 2addicts.com, the 2 Series Gran Coupe could appear sometime in mid-late 2015, depending on the success of the Mercedes-Benz CLA and the Audi A3/S3. What is conflicting though is that BMW has approved a FWD 1 Series sedan, that would seem to be more of a direct competitor to the CLA & A3 than the 2 Gran Coupe. Who knows?
Perhaps BMW won't make the FWD 1 Series to offer a RWD foil to its German competition. Maybe they won't make a 2 Series Gran Coupe to make room for the 1 Series. Maybe they'll make both! Maybe they'll make neither! Maybe they'll make an X2 Sports Activity Vehicle that will have an updated twin-turbo direct injection S54 motor from the E46 M3, which will only come with an 11-speed automatic co-developed with GM. They'll call it the X2Mxdrive35i Gran Coupe.
The point is, we're not sure if BMW will make a 2 Series Gran Coupe but we really want to see what it would look like if they did. So get yourself a good photo of the 2 Series and get photoshopping!
