Your stereotypical image of a bad driver is someone who's reckless and aggressive at the wheel. Overly timid drivers can be just as bad, as this Lada versus streetcar crash shows.
As you can see in this video, the Lada driver lines up to make a left across a busy street but misses his chance to get across before traffic blocks his way. After that, he fails to see a gap that he feels comfortable with and proceeds to wait for the oncoming traffic to thin out.
The problem is that he's on a streetcar track and there's a train coming. The train can't stop in time, it nails his Lada, and everyone feels like they've screwed up somehow.
So remember, sometimes you have to drive like a New York cabbie to make everything work out on the road. It's not always a good idea, but being overly cautious isn't good either.
