You know how rockets fly upward and then just land wherever? That's so 20th century, man. Elon Musk's SpaceX wants rockets that can land upright after being fired off, and that's exactly what the Grasshopper is. It's actually pretty amazing to watch.

This video comes from a Grasshopper launch at SpaceX's Texas test pad, caught on video by a camera-carrying hexacopter. In it we see the 10-story Grasshopper do a vertical takeoff, fly up to about 2,500 feet, and then float down to earth to land upright in its original position.
Rockets that land straight up! Incredible. Your move, Bored Elon Musk.
