Meet the Zotye Auto T700. It’s no Terminator, and no Porsche either, but it sure looks like the latter!
People buy Porsche Macans like there’s no tomorrow, but while the cheapest Macan S retails for $52,600 in America, poor Chinese customers have to fork out $57,980 to get the less powerful base Macan. Or do they?
Just like with the Range Rover Evoque, there’s an alternative for those on a budget!
Local manufacturer Zotye Auto was founded a decade ago, and so far, their most luxurious car has been the T600, a SUV that looks like a cross between an Audi Q5 and a Volkswagen Touareg. The new T700 goes on top of that with a fresh design straight from Stuttgart, a 177 horsepower 2.0 turbo, or an optional 3.0 V6 turbo according to CarNewsChina’s report.
It might not be as fun on the track as the original, but for $27.390, Porsche will only give you exactly half of a base Boxster. That useless, because it’s not even a front-wheel drive car.
As you can see, Zotye Auto is much more generous:
Lawsuit? Muhaha!
