Indian MacGyver transforms scooter into construction hoist

Cost of a cheap, used construction hoist: $40,000 before shipping. Cost of a cheap, used Bajaj scooter and some rope: Rs 40,000 and you can drive it to the construction site. If necessity is the mother of invention, cheapness is its overworked father.

This crew of workers removed the rear wheel from their old scooter, attached a rope, and created a make-shift hoist capable of transporting bricks to the roof of the building they were renovating.

Remember: always wear a helmet when scooter-lifting.
