Red Bull Aerobatic Planes Collide Mid-Air During Performance

Two pilots flying for Red Bull's aerobatic team on Thursday miraculously escaped after the wings of their aircraft touched each other mid-air during a stunt routine at the Yelahanka air base in Bengaluru during the Aero India show. They managed to land safely, despite their wings suffering catastrophic damage.

Aero India is a biennial air show and aviation exhibition held in Bangaluru, India at the Yelahanka Air Force Station. It is organized by Defence Exhibition Organisation, Ministry of Defense. The first edition of the airshow was held in 1996. During this Aero India Show, many manufacturers and service providers from the Indian aerospace and aviation industry meet the potential buyers of their products. The stunt team has performed in earlier editions of the Aero India in 2011 and 2013.

The "Flying Bulls" from the Czech Republic were in middle of this year's stunts when the accident took place. No injuries have been reported, but the planes are due for serious repair.
