Yeah. Life isn't just Cadillac CTS-V Wagons all the time, kids. But believe it or not, I like the 2015 Lincoln MKC more than I expected to.

Maybe I should have given it more credit. Lincoln's new small crossover has garnered mostly positive reviews so far. Over the next week, I'll try to determine how good it really is.

Things I like: The 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo four (with 285 horsepower and 305 pound feet of torque here) has a lot more punch than I expected; not at all bad-looking, and probably the best use of that goofy Lincoln grille so far; interior is stylish and comfortable; seems well-built and well-equipped; great sound system.

Things I don't like as much: Throttle is too twitchy; handling is too soft; while it's quicker than expected, it's not what I consider fun to drive; transmission buttons on the center panel are weird; 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway is not impressive at all.

It's an all-wheel drive model and seems fairly loaded at $48,770. That's a lot for a small Lincoln, but like I said, it's well-equipped.

If you have questions about the MKC, toss them in the comments and I'll do my best to answer them.
