Two Bugatti Chirons Crash Into Each Other And An Innocent Truck During Morocco Tour
The pair of multi-million-dollar hypercars attempted to pass a truck at the same time
With a price north of $3 million, even a repair bill for a minor fender-bender in Bugatti Chiron could cause financial anxiety for an average person. During the ongoing Bugatti Grand Tour in Morocco, one of the scenic group drives ended with one Chiron crashing into another Chiron. Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac is attending the tour with a Chiron of his own, but he wasn't involved in the crash.
The crash footage opens with the typical final resting place for many a hypercar: a beautiful two-lane road. A column of three Bugatti Chirons was making its way down the road, using the oncoming lane to get around slower vehicles. The trio was briefly stuck behind a truck and once the path was clear, the middle Chiron Super Sport got impatient, pulled left and got alongside the leading Chiron Pur Sport.

The Pur Sport driver, unable to see the Super Sport in their blind spot, pulls into the oncoming lane. Surprise, the two Bugattis collide and swerve into the truck. The truck is sent tumbling into a ditch for the egregious crime of simply existing in the presence of a hypercar. The Pur Sport escaped with minor damage, while the Super Sport could not be driven away from the scene.
Whether it be the FIA World Rally Championship or the Gumball 3000, driving a high-performance car on a public road doesn't give you the right to overtake everyone at a moment's notice simply. With great power comes great responsibility, to quote a fictional uncle with a great taste in cars.
