Has Lorde’s Royals ever been more appropriate? No, no it has not.

Former Wal-Mart CEO Bill Simon was flying his Cirrus SR22T from Bentonville, Arkansas (of course), to Waco, Texas, when his engine started developing problems shortly after takeoff, according to CBS News. The Cirrus is actually equipped with a parachute for the entire plane, letting it slowly drift into the ground instead of smashing into it with its face.

Something about a Wal-Mart ex-CEO floating gently down to Earth in his messed up plane to the strains of aspirational dreams is certainly what inspires us all.
