If you ask me what modern car offers the best colors, the Fiat 500 is always going to be the first option that comes to mind. From these gorgeous pink and blue hues available on the latest electric iterations to the vibrant tones and pastel colors offered throughout the car's lifetime, Fiat has really delivered the goods.

"Always been surprised with the Mirage's various palettes. For a bottom-of-the-barrel cheap-ass line, they went surprisingly bold with the choices in '14.

Mitsubishi doesn't scream "nice colors" to me whenever I think of the brand, but the Mirage might be out to prove any naysayers wrong. From this millennial pink offered on older models to the Sand Yellow you'll find on the latest Mirage, Mitsubishi has some lovely options.

"I like the Spirited Green on the Mazda2 (the Fiesta's platform cousin), but that wasn't an option when I bought mine (they'd dropped it by 2014). I settled for spray-bombing the wheel covers lime green."

"While this may not fit in as a super cheap car, any Mazda that you can get in Mazda's Soul Red Crystal Metallic paint looks awesome. That color looks good on every single Mazda I've seen it on. A Mazda does not have any right to come with a factory paint that looks like it's inches deep. If you buy a Mazda and DON'T get this color, you made a poor decision.

"The Mazda 3 sedan happens to be the cheapest vehicle you can get it on. But for a little bit more you can get it on the hatchback too. You're not rolling around in the fastest or most luxurious ride, but for only $25k (ish) you can have one of the best colors I've seen roll off a production line on a regular car and into the US for many years.

"And again, not super cheap, but keeping everything sub $30k and you can get this on the base Miata too."

And this is the best red you can choose for your car. Again, I will take no further questions.

"The Crosstrek comes in a purple-ish/greyish/bluish color. The first time my daughter saw it she called it "pblgrbl" (pibblegribble). Wouldn't otherwise be my favorite color, but now it kinda is."

Normally, these subdued shades can look a bit lost in the crowd. But, this "pblgrbl" color that you can get on the Crosstrek really suits the car down to a T. Very nice.

Sure, the Area 51 color scheme seen on most of the press shots is nice. But it will always be outshone by a vibrant orange, luscious red or popping blue. Good truck, great paint.

"The shade of pink that Toyota use on their Yaris is the same shade of pink from the defunct pizza chain of Eagle Boys.

This might be one of the best pinks out there. And, if it means you're coordinated with an Australian fast food chain, what's not to love?

"The MK7 Fiesta came in a color called Lime Squeeze. I actually bought a Fiesta in 2011 and really wanted that color in a hatchback, but couldn't find it. Had to settle for Ingot Silver.

"I will give Ford this; their paint work has always been leaps and bounds ahead of the competition, even on the cheap cars. My Fiesta didn't have any orange peel or anything weird. I remember back in 2015 I went to the National Corvette Museum and was looking at some Z06s being museum delivered. $100K cars with all sorts of orange peel and weird paint issues."

The Fiesta has come in some glorious colors over the years. And with the launch of the MK7 in 2008, Ford went into overdrive uncovering a palette of glorious shades. Lime squeeze is a great choice, as are Hot Magenta, Aquarius Blue and Colorado Red.

I agree, purple is always the correct color choice for your car. Even better if it's one like this luscious, deep purple offering from Fiat in Brazil. Quite excellent.

Proof that VW does offer some great color choices for the Jetta, and not just the white, silver and blacks that roam the streets. More people should order orange cars. It might make road users around you a bit happier.
