There are too many great racing drivers to count. It’s damn near impossible to say that any single one of them is better than all the rest. Did any specific driver do a better job because they had a better car? Or did they get the better car because they were the best around? It’s a conversation that will never come to a final conclusion. Earlier this week we asked you all to choose your number one racer of history, and you sure delivered.

Here is a list of fifteen incredible racing drivers, some of which you might not expect to see on the list at all. Check it out!

On-Board Lap w/ Mario Andretti from 1966 Indianapolis 500

I’m giving it to Mario Andretti. Daytona 500 win, Indy 500 win, Pikes Peak Win, F1 Championship. The only thing that he is missing is an Overall 24 Hours of Lemans victory but he does have a 12hrs of Sebring win. All this from a guy who used to run a Hudson at Nazareth Fairgrounds

I think you could also consider John Surtees who’s won on 2 and 4 wheels but not nearly as prolific as Mario was.

Me.

Since nobody is going to make it to the 15th slide of this slideshow anyway, I might as well put myself on the list. I am the greatest racing driver to ever exist. It’s a shame I’ll never be able to go head-to-head with the likes of Senna or Gurney or Fangio, because we’ll never know for sure that I couldn’t beat them.
