If you’re like me, a big sucker for cute car animations and vintage truck advertisements, you should easily be able to kill the rest of your work day scrolling through Ford’s F-Series history site.
You can click through “F-150 Heritage” from 1948 all the way to (obviously) the present truck. Don’t expect any unbiased information, but this timeline is a lot of fun to paw through. And it’s a lot prettier than Wikipedia for when you’re trying to figure out which bodystyle started in which year.
The mid-to-late 1970’s trucks are my favorite. Yes, based exclusively on looks. Who do you think you’re reading? Check out this wacky flareside setup from ‘77!
Anyway the site is basically just a bunch of awesome old Ford pictures along with a form to submit your own. Enjoy!
