Despite the germ-like camouflage, we can tell the new Ford Five Hundred has gotten an extensive infusion of Dave. That's the safety-razor grille, slyly alluding to the Cheshire smile of Americans whom designing Brit Peter Horbury's endured at Detroit-area cocktail parties. Set to debut at the Detroit show next month, the new fiver will get Ford's new corporate 3.5-liter V6, producing 265 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. The new powerplant should help us forget the tedium of taking the current model (i.e., lecture hall with wheels) to highway speed. Go Dave, it'll be your birthday soon.

Yes. I'll have another helping of Bruce. Thank you Ford for making an entire line up that follows the drink sizes at McDonalds.

Focus - Small

Fusion - Medium

Five Hundred - Large

Edge - Extra Large

Explorer - Big Gulp

Expedition - Super Big Gulp

I'd bet the replacement to the Mustang gets the "Dave" treatment.
