Hailed as one of the auto industry's most exciting up-and-coming young designers, Jason Castriota is the man behind the Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina, the Bertone Mantide, the Maserati GranTurismo, the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, the SSC Tuatara, the Maserati Birdcage 75 and the Saab 9-3 Phoenix that almost happened but didn't. And he's here to answer your questions.
His career includes working as a chief designer at Pininfarina, director of design at Stile Bertone, and executive design director at Saab before they closed their doors in 2011. He now operates his own firm, Castriota Design. Check out their Facebook page here.
Jason has worked on some amazing cars over the years, so feel free to ask him whatever you want.
As an added bonus, he has added some design notes to his 9-3 Phoenix using our annotation tool, so be sure and check that out if you want to learn more about the Saab that came so close to production before the company went bankrupt.
Go ahead! Ask away. He'll be around for an hour or so.
(Update: Jason has called it quits for the day, but he left us with a ton of great insights. Let's give him a round of applause.)
