Ducati is giving 1,000 well-heeled riders an opportunity to celebrate the Italian heritage and culture of speed with the new Panigale V4 Tricolore superbike, and you could be one of them. You know, provided you’re willing to spend $58,000 for the privilege. The Bologna-based bike manufacturer has been rolling out red/white/green special superbikes since 1984 with the 750 F1, and this is the latest in a long line. With all of the modern superbike trappings, this is certainly the fastest and most track-capable unit to wear the Italian livery.

While most of the Tricolore machines from Ducati have been a simple livery addition to an already incredible bike, the 2025 Panigale V4 Tricolore actually brings additional performance to the table over the standard model. Considering a standard Panigale V4S starts at $33,895 you would hope you’re getting more than a paint job for the extra 24 grand.

All that extra dosh buys you a few important improvements. The most important upgrade the Tricolore carries is its new 5-spoke carbon-fiber wheels, reducing weight of the bike by two pounds of sprung and rotational weight over the standard forged aluminum wheels. Ducati also worked with Brembo to develop its racing-derived “T-drive” floating rotors and lightweight “Hypure” calipers for the street. Ducati will also include a microsuede seat, carbon clutch cover, and racing lexan windscreen for your cash, as well as a license-plate removal kit for track work.

This is a barely street-legal racing bike that is almost certainly faster around a track than any of the 1,000 buyers will be able to run it. The vast majority of these bikes will be squirreled away in private collections never to be run on track anyway. Owners in the U.S. will also receive a special matching helmet and jacket. Matching leathers are also available.

I’m very aware that my skills as a rider could never match the necessary talents required to extract the most from this bike, but I’d sure love an opportunity to try it out. It sure looks like fun, and the livery on this one is spectacular.
