​Polaris Slingshot: Is This It?

While we're enduring an endless string of Slingshot teasers, the crew at the freshly minted SlingshotForums apparently have the first spy shot of the three-wheeler from Polaris, and it looks remarkably close to the company's patent drawings.

Aside from lining up nicely with the renderings we've already seen, this first spy pic gives us a sense of the Slingshot's size, which fits somewhere between a CanAm Spyder and an Ariel Atom. Just a shame the shooter got crazy with the HDR mode.

Still no word on powerplant and transmission choices, although we've heard everything from a 900cc engine from Polaris' RZR 900 to a 1.0-liter Ford Ecoboost. But all will be revealed on July 27th.
