Turning The Viper Into An Alfa Romeo Was The Best Idea Ever

This is the Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale by Zagato. It's been around for two years, there's a Viper ACR-X under its skin, and it remains the best thing that can happen to an old Dodge.

I know there are a lot of you out there who love the Viper's looks, be that the old one or the new SRT. And I'm with you up to a certain level. The Viper is not a bad looking car, and its childish brutality certainly has an appeal. But the second generation is my least favorite. That's where the Italians come in.

Zagato knows how to make fantastic cars. They've been at it since 1919. The great thing about the TZ3 is that it remains just as crude as the base car, only with more refined details on the outside. It has a Kamm back, round rear lamps and Zagato's signature double bubble roof. Also, looking at the windshield, you can see a bit of Lancia Stratos in there. That's always a good sign.

Only nine of these will ever be made, so it's more likely that you will get an Alfa Romeo 4C when it comes to the famous brand's return to America. Still, imagine just how cool it would be to get this one dirty on the track...
