Another week means another entry into our series featuring the sweet cars I found for sale online. This time you’re getting a cool van import, some Australian-American muscle, and great classics.

I now search for interesting vehicles anywhere and everywhere on the internet, not just Facebook and Craigslist, to make sure I find the best cars out there.

These vehicles may be hilariously unreliable, remarkably unusual, questionably tuned or just something that stops me in my tracks. We all know the used car market is all kinds of broken right now, but I try to find deals where they exist.

The Polara was a Dodge full-size with a star-themed name to capture America’s wonder with the Space Race. It was available in a variety of body styles from sedan and wagon, to coupe and convertible. The coupes and convertibles like the one you see here look like perfect boulevard cruisers.

Power comes from a 6.3-liter V8 making 270 gross HP. It’s listed for $9,900 on Facebook Marketplace in Franklin Park, Illinois.

This Volkswagen Scirocco is described as having no rust. It’s apparently so clean that the floorpan still has that bright red paint on it. Checking out the pictures, it looks like this car rolled right out of a museum.

These little cars are named after a Mediterranean wind and have styling by Giorgetto Giugiaro. Under the hood is a 1.8-liter four making 90 HP delivered through a manual transmission.

The Scirocco would leave the United States after 1988, and it was effectively replaced by the Corrado. We didn’t get the sleek third-generation model. This one is definitely one of the nicest you’ll find. It’s $11,999 on Facebook Marketplace in Uniontown, Pennsylvania with 113,000 miles.

That title isn’t a typo, that’s how Honda actually named this quirky van.

I think the best way to describe a Honda Stepwgn is that it’s like a Volkswagen EuroVan, just a Honda. You get benches that fold into a bed, seats that spin around to make a miniature living room and seats that fold individually into a table.

It’s actually sort of impressive how many ways you can fold the seats in this thing. You can even fold them sideways so you could haul large items in the van.

This Stepwgn appears to be in exceptional condition with just 36,000 miles. It’s $9,995 on Facebook Marketplace in Athens, Tennessee.

Former Editor-In-Chief Patrick George hit it out of the park with this opening line:

What if I told you that for well under $20,000, you could get yourself an import car with two doors, four seats, a stick shift, a 6.0-liter V8 with 400 horsepower and a legendary nameplate attached to it?

That is the best description of a GTO boiled down into one sentence. You get an Australian muscle car rebadged as an American muscle car ready to tear up pairs of rear tires for under the price most new cars today. And years after George wrote that article GTOs are still an incredible deal for what you get.

This one houses a 5.7-liter LS1 that made 350 HP stock (less than the 6.0-liter LS2 George quoted) but has tasteful mods in the form of new heads and cams. It also has low mileage with 82,344 miles. It’s $15,500 on Facebook Marketplace in Charleston, West Virginia and doesn’t come with the black roof vinyl.

The Morgan 3 Wheeler went out with a bang in 2021. Thankfully, a new one is on the way and thus far it looks pretty interesting. If you don’t want to wait for the new one, here’s a 2012 with mileage so low that it might as well come with plastic wrap on its seats.

Morgan and three-wheeled vehicles goes back over a century, where they were a cheap form of transportation and even served as commercial vehicles. The modern interpretation bears a lot of resemblance to the Morgans of the past. Up front is a 2.0-liter S&S Cycle V-twin making 82 HP and pumping it to the sole rear wheel. You sit in a cockpit, enjoying the V-twin soundtrack as you push the trike around corners pretending to be a vintage fighter pilot.

This one is being sold for about what it cost new in 2012. It’s $46,995 on Hemmings in Lake Bluff, Illinois with 3,600 miles.

Norton is a British brand of motorcycles that aren’t a common sight here in America anymore. The bike features classic style and an 850cc parallel twin making 58 HP. Commandos were used for everything from racing to police, and you’ll find them today being preserved by enthusiasts.

No history is given on this one, but it looks absolutely fantastic. It’s $8,200 on Facebook Marketplace in Kenosha, Wisconsin with 17,000 miles.

This Z32 Nissan Z-car has a lot going for it from its 1990s aesthetic to is drop-top, healthy power and manual transmission.

Here’s a sports car so good that as Duncan Imports notes, Car and Driver put the Z32 on its top ten best imports list for seven consecutive years. This car is a return to form after Nissan’s Z-cars strayed from its roots by becoming slower, heavier and more luxurious like a grand tourer. The Z32 would bring the Z back to its roots and do it in style.

Check this out, under the beautiful paint is a 3.0-liter V6 producing 222 HP delivered to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual. Inside is cream-colored buckets in great shape and yep, there’s a convertible top so you can be ready when spring rolls around.

It’s $14,900 on Facebook Marketplace in Greensboro, North Carolina with just 65,000 miles.

The Ford pickup trucks of today owe their existence to this mint-colored Ford F1. These trucks were an immediate success, and Ford says it helped the company pull itself out of its financial struggle. FoMoCo even says that the F1 brought people into showrooms to buy things that weren’t trucks.

It also helps that it looks like a total stunner.

This particular truck is said to be from Arizona and was repowered at some point in its life. Under the hood is a 4.7-liter V8 paired to a C4 three-speed auto. The seller says that this comes from a 1965 Mustang. The combination, good for at least 200 HP, gives more power than any factory configuration for this truck. But it’s not too much power.

It’s $24,500 on Facebook Marketplace in Houston, Texas.

For the final vehicle on this list, let’s have something a little left field. I present a Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer. These trucks were designed to be versatile and could be found outfitted for various roles from firefighting to troop carrying. Their design also gives them exceptional off-roading capabilities. It’s no surprise, then, that they were in production for over three decades.

Power comes from a 2.5-liter inline four with five-speed manual transaxle, two-speed transfer case and two locking differentials. These make 87 horses, so don’t expect to get anywhere fast...but you will get to places other trucks can’t.

It’s $15,499 on Facebook Marketplace in San Antonio, Texas.

That’s it for this week! Have you purchased a car from one of these posts? If so, I want to know.
