Mitsubishi Pajero, Honda Transalp, Toyota Mini Cruiser: The Dopest Vehicles I Found For Sale Online

Another week means another entry into this series featuring the sweet cars we found online.

To compile this list, I search as much of Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist as I can for interesting vehicles that don't cost a lot. They may be hilariously unreliable, unique, tuned or maybe something that stops me in my tracks. Prices for some models are trending higher due to the pandemic, but I think some good deals are still out there.

1991 Audi 100 - $2,300

This Audi 100 is a trend-setting sedan that is in remarkably good shape for its age. It has a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine paired with an automatic transmission and front-wheel-drive. The seller says the car is in 9/10 cosmetic condition, and it even comes with the original window sticker. This is a timeless design that will turn heads wherever you go.

This Audi 100 is $2,300 on Facebook Marketplace in Kansas City, Missouri, with 148,000 miles.

1996 Suzuki Every Joy Pop - $6,500

Want a Japanese Domestic Market kei van but don't want to go through all of the work of importing it yourself? This Suzuki Every Joy Pop may be the ticket. It comes equipped with a 660cc three-cylinder engine and an automatic transmission. Check out the seat covers and curtains in this thing.

This Every Joy Pop is in clean shape, with about 65,000 miles showing on its odometer. It's $6,500 on Facebook Marketplace in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania, and the seller has kei trucks, too!

2006 Volkswagen Touareg Supercharged

Here is one serious sleeper of a Volkswagen Touareg. What you're looking at is a Touareg V8, but under the hood is a PES Supercharger system. But the mods don't just stop at the added power. It has custom wheels, a custom body kit, custom sound system and more.

This one is a bit outside my normal dirt-cheap price range, but I think it's still worth the mention. It's $12,900 on Facebook Marketplace out of New Boston, Michigan, with 168,400 miles.

1989 Honda Transalp XL600V - $3,400

The Honda Transalp is an adventure bike from decades before ADV bikes became popular. Motorcycle Classics describes the motorcycle as a machine that'll take on anything you throw at it. The motorcycle wears a design so timeless that it could be sold new today.

This XL600V is described in good condition and it's $3,400 on Facebook Marketplace in Fredonia, Wisconsin, with 40,000 miles.

2003 Land Rover Discovery - $4,000

The Land Rover Discovery is an off-roader that can get you lost in the woods and look good doing so. I mean, check out those roof windows on this thing. In good condition, these SUVs can fetch a good price, but this one is reasonably priced.

This Discovery appears to be clean inside and out and is $4,000 on Facebook Marketplace in Pella, Iowa, with 145,000 miles.

1964 Riverside Lambretta - $3,500

Riverside was Montgomery Ward's brand of imported motorcycles and scooters. This Riverside is a Lambretta scooter from Italy. These slick scooters feature a 125cc two-stroke engine and a manual transmission.

This one is noted to be in mostly original condition. It's $3,500 on Facebook Marketplace in Ballwin, Missouri, with 10,378 miles.

1991 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport - $9,995

This week's enthusiast car is a right-hand-drive JDM off-roader. The Mitsubishi Pajero is famous for winning the Dakar rally 12 times. These were sold in America as the Montero, but you can't get the North American version equipped like this. This Pajero Sport has a turbodiesel engine, rear climate control and a beautiful dashboard altimeter. This 4x4 SUV carries you and six of your best pals in style.

It's $9,995 on Facebook Marketplace in Newville, Pennsylvania, with 84,000 miles.

1987 Toyota Mini Cruiser - $8,500

Here is a cute little camper that's full of style. These are getting harder to find in good condition nowadays. The interior appears to be renovated and looks absolutely cozy. If there's any downside to this compact RV, it's that these are known for being pitifully slow. The Toyota is backed by a 22R-E 2.4-liter inline-four making about 105 horsepower. It's a reliable engine, but don't expect to go anywhere quickly.

This Toyota Mini Cruiser is $8,500 on Facebook Marketplace in Warsaw, Kentucky, with about 44,000 miles.

2012 VPG MV-1 - $6,995

The final vehicle on this list is an impressively sensible van. Built by AM General, it was designed for fleets with an emphasis on wheelchair access. The van features low floors with wide doors for easy access, and it has lots of room inside. When I first saw these show up around Chicago as taxis, I thought that they looked a bit like a modern interpretation of an old London Taxi.

These may not be pretty, but they are enormously practical. This VPG MV-1 is $6,995 on Facebook Marketplace in Columbus, Ohio, with 181,500 miles.

That's it for this week! Have you purchased a car from one of these posts? If so, I want to know.

If you now of a weird car for sale on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist, drop it down in the comments or send it along in an email! If the car's still for sale, we may feature it on a future post.
