The guy who owns one of the seven right-hand drive 993 GT2s says it’s a car that looks like it’s gonna do you in, drives like it’s gonna do you in, and that’s just how a fast 911 should be.
These days, Porsche isn’t in the business of making cars that will kill you anymore. No car company is, although let’s just wait and see what TVR can come up with next summer. The 991 GT3 RS is crazy fast around the track by any standard, but its four-wheel steering, monster brakes, automatic gearbox and linear power delivery will keep its ass under control unless you have absolutely no idea how to drive.
If you’re really keen on getting a bonkers 911, there are always companies like Sharkworks who can help, but if you’re after the rarest and most beautiful killer machines of them all, you gotta go 993 GT2. It will say GT at the back, but that’s a feature, not a bug.
It’s rear-wheel drive with 430 horsepower and no traction control, super light at 2,843 pounds, and with 73 pound-feet of torque more than what the current GT3 has, certainly a handful at speed. Still, it has a smaller turbo lag than an F40, so there’s that!

Old tires, old brakes, modern power. Good luck with the insurance!
