The Lamborghini Gallardo is known for a few things. First off, it's freaking fast. Secondly, it looks like a fighter jet for the road. And third, catching on fire seems to be one of its hobbies.
As you probably noticed, the third one isn't all that positive. And now, Lambo is recalling the Gallardo, like Ferrari did with the 458, since the fire thing could still sort of happen.
About 1,500 cars sold from 2004 to 2006 are being recalled because a leak can occur in the power steering pump. Lambo says that the leak was discovered in testing, and that no customers have reported a fire due to this exact leak.
When the fluid leaks, it then spills onto the very hot V10 engine. After that, it could combust, which, to the layperson, means a slight chance of FIERY DEATH.
But, as of right now, it hasn't been an issue for any customers.
