The 2014 Cadillac CTS is beautiful to behold. And now that it is a midsized car, it receives a midsized price:$46,025 for a base car or $59,995 for the 420 horsepower Vsport. Not too shabby.

Yes, that is a good chunk more expensive than the current car, but the new CTS has grown up in many ways. Instead of being somewhere between a 3 and 5 series BMW, the CTS has gone full 5 series. It also undercuts the price of the 5er by $1,000 for a base car and by $3,000 when you compare the 550i to the CTS Vsport.

The car will be offered with a choice of three engines, which includes the 3.6 liter V6 from the current CTS, the now familiar 2.0 turbo four from the ATS, and the brand new 3.6 liter twin turbo V6 that will be in the top of the line Vsport.

You'll be able to get your Caddy in either rear or all-wheel drive. The Vsport will be rear-wheel drive only and have magnetic ride control, which V-Series fans will be familiar with, as well as a track mode. Presumably because people love to track their midsized Cadillacs.

The CTS goes on sale this fall.
