The McLaren 570S is the entry level model in the English supercar maker's lineup. Aimed straight at the Porsche 911 Turbo S and the Audi R8 V10, the 570S is McLaren's first foray into a higher volume segment. And it looks bananas in person. Here are the close up details.
Photos, which are what you're about to look at, don't really do the 570S justice. It's a dramatic car. Yes, it looks quite a bit similar to the P1 and the 650S, but that isn't really a bad thing. In some ways, the 570S picks up where the first Audi R8 left off. When the R8 was first released, it looked like nothing else on the road for that price. It was a taste of the future for a discount price.
But now the new R8 looks like an R8, which is something we've seen before. The 570S looks like nothing we've seen with a price tag of about $180,000. And you can get the Macca for the price of a 911 Turbo, a car that has had the same basic appearance since it was released.
We aren't sure how the 570S will drive, but judging based on the 650S, it'll be fantastic.
Now, get up close and personal with the newest McLaren.
